SALT Studio has entered a new chapter. While the company has served the commercial furniture and design industry for more than 17 years, today SALT operates under new ownership and leadership with a renewed vision. Rooted in experience but driven by fresh perspective, SALT is evolving into a design-forward commercial furniture dealer and interiors partner focused on strategic planning, thoughtful design, and exceptional service.

MEET THE TEAM

  • Jess Gainer

    CEO

    Jess has a background in growing, leading, and scaling businesses. While newer to the commercial interiors industry, she brings a strong operational foundation and a passion for the creative side of the work. She’s known for her hands-on, people-first approach and enjoys partnering with businesses to create spaces that truly fit their needs and culture. A Utah native, Jess spends her time outside of work in the outdoors — often rock climbing, exploring nature, and building meaningful relationships within her community and beyond.

  • Stacy Forrester

    CGO

    Stacy brings a background in creative strategy, sales, and growth, with a fresh perspective from outside the furniture industry. She believes that great spaces are never neutral, they're always speaking. For her, brand, design, and furniture aren't separate disciplines but one conversation: when they work together, they create real connection, and that connection drives retention, for people and for businesses. Originally from California, Stacy recently relocated to Salt Lake City trading ocean waves for mountain trails as she settles into Utah's outdoor life.

  • Matthew Holmes

    INTERIOR DESIGNER

    Matthew brings over 8 years of experience in commercial interior design, with a strong foundation from Ensign College's Interior Design program. He believes great design starts with listening, translating complex workplace needs into spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and built around the people who use them every day. For Matthew, good design isn't just about how a space looks, but how it works, feels, and supports the people in it. Originally from Idaho but calling Utah home, Matthew spends his free time traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his fiancé, Corey.

  • Jill Simmons

    SENIOR DESIGNER

    Jill brings more than 20 years of experience as a designer in commercial, educational, and healthcare spaces, with a talent for efficient, thoughtful space planning and an eye for furniture, color, and finish. She believes great design comes from listening, and loves collaborating with clients and teammates to turn their vision into spaces that work as good as they look. At home, Jill's world revolves around her little Shih Tzu, Bacca, who's always by her side. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and getting lost in a good book.

  • JACKIE DIAZ

    PM

    Jacqueline brings over 5 years of experience across hospitality, tourism, consulting, and banking, with a strong background in business, accounting, digital marketing, and business analytics. Originally from Mexico, Jacqueline combines a creative, detail-oriented mindset with strong multitasking and project management skills, bringing a well-rounded approach to both business strategy and creative work while building meaningful client relationships. She is passionate about connecting with people and enjoys nature, art, and motorsports.

When I stepped into leadership at SALT, I came with deep respect for what had already been built. New ownership wasn't about changing what made SALT great, it was about honoring it and carrying it forward with greater intention.

Our vision is to evolve SALT into a true boutique experience — selective, collaborative, and focused on outcomes that matter: retention, ROI, and long-term sustainability.
